Bring Back Individual Micronutrient Testing
H
Hilary Back
At the start of the new year vibrant took away the ability to order individual micro nutrient testing, only allowing those tests to be ordered by ordering the full panel. As a provider this is not what I am looking for in a lab service. I would like to order the micronutrients that I see fit for a patient as an individual and then be able to recheck individual tests if needed. This forces me to potentially run these labs elsewhere. Please bring back the ability to add individual micronutrient tests.

Unfortunate change. Miss the ability to order specific micronutrients

Sheila Saltzman
The ability to order specific micronutrients is one of the reasons I frequently order from Vibrant. It is cost-prohibitive for patients to have to order a complete micronutrient panel. I often peronalize panels to create an order that best suits the patient (and makes it more affordable for them). It is unnecessary to order a complete panel (including amino acids, minerals, etc) when we are tracking specific nutrients that were out of range. Please bring back the ability to create personalized panels by allowing us the ability to choose specific micronutrients without the more expensive full nutrient panel. THANK YOU!

Micronutrients Panel

Please switch back to allowing individual micronutrient testing ASAP! It is vital to our practice as functional nutritionists and the entire panel cost is prohibitive to our customers. Please make individual micronutrient testing available again!

VERY VERY disappointed in loss of nutrients and ENA 11 Panel from VA! And miss Legacy reports - don't push providers away

I am huge ordering provider for Vibrant labwork and VW speciality testing and order Vibrant testing on almost every patient I see. I cannot share how much I am disappointed in the loss of the individual micronutrient and ENA 11 panel testing options from Vibrant America. You are boxing providers and patients into either paying $420 for an enormous micronutrient panel or $360 for an enormous autoimmune zoomer OR not getting this information at all. This is not right and this directly damages patient care for providers and patients who rely on Vibrant as a primary testing source. This will force me to look for other places to get cash pay labs because I know for sure that 95% of my patients are not going to pay for those pricey panels on top of all the other costs associated for FM care, all of which is out of pocket.
I love Vibrant and have used your tests for years and given your company likely well over a hundred thousand in revenue in recent years. But these changes of moving more and more labs into these expensive giant panels while doing price increases every single January is making it harder and harder to keep using Vibrant for our patients who already have difficulty paying for all the elements of FM care. Seeing that I can no longer add micronutrients or autoimmune markers to my labs without asking patients to shell out another $700 plus is a grave disappointment. This is going to force me to look at other lab companies for cash pay labs. Already Vibrant is getting increasingly more expensive and forcing me and my practice to utilize other more affordable functional tests for more of our patients.
Also, the new reports are too busy and too confusing with all the summaries at the top and material repeated twice. The legacy reports were SO MUCH cleaner and easier to read. You can find a happy medium by incorporating the NHANES reference range additions and some additional explanatory content from the new reports and keeping the format of the legacy reports. Gut Zoomer and total toxin reports are worse in the new format than legacy. The system categories for Gut Zoomer are gone and many sources of toxins are taken out of explanations for total toxin reports. I am not thrilled with the new formats.
I hope your team gives providers the chance to order individual micronutrients and ENA 11 panel again in VA. In fact I wish you would make more labs available in VA like the EBV panel, Candida antibodies etc. Forcing patients to buy expensive panels for almost everything is not a long term win for patient care. People cannot afford it. Vibrant is an excellent lab, but already your tests are consistently among the most expensive tests on the market for EVERY functional medicine test category out of a pool of several good reputable labs. Please do not drive business away from faithful doctors like myself because of a push to keep tying the hands of providers on what we can individually order and forcing us and our patients to buy enormous expensive panels or not get the labs at all.

Individual micronutrient testing

PLEASE don't take away the ability to pick a few specific micronutrients, especially Mg,RBC, but others too, as this is definitely one of the reasons I have been using Vibrant for many years. This change is extremely inconvenient and diminishes the customization I come to Vibrant for. Most patients will not be able to pay for full micronutrients panel on top of what they are already paying out of pocket.

Bring Back Individual Micronutrient Ordering

One of the product features that I truly appreciated from Vibrant was the ability to order individual micro-nutrients in a cost effective manner. Having to order a complete micronutrient panel is not needed and is cost prohibitive for most of my needs for my patients. Please bring back the ability to order individual micronutrients.

Please return the individual tests

We noticed that you removed the ability to choose some individual tests and replaced it with micronutrient bundle which can be cost prohibitive for the patient. We would like to ask that you bring the ability to select tests such as selenium back to individual testing. This has impacted our business and patient orders.

Yes! Extremely frustrating as we like to add-on to an already large custom panel we have. The micronutrient panel as a whole is not cost effective for patients, which forces us to use another lab company.

On behalf of Dr. Steven Gundry, we agree. We have tried ordering the ENA11 panel through Labcorp and are not thrilled with their results. We don't want to order the new Vibrant panel as it is very costly especiall when we only need one or two fo the individual tests.

We have put together a specialized panel that we use with all of our lab patients and it has included the RBC magnesium. It is a valuable marker. Now, with the change, all that we can order is the regular magnesium, which doesn't give any important information. It is really discouraging when Vibrant makes changes that impair the doctor's ability to cost-effectively test patients while getting the necessary information.
